The current education landscape has never provided headteachers, governing bodies and trusts with greater a challenge. It is now more important than ever that schools work in partnership to enable the very best educational opportunities and services.
By working together as a wider family of schools, we can share a joint approach to supporting our students, their families and our staff. The Trust is about us working collaboratively to provide the best education for the children of Furness.
We are proud of the work we do, of our students’ accomplishments academically and personally, and of the incredible young people they become under our care. As a Trust, we place the needs of all our young people at the centre of everything that we do and we couldn’t be more proud of the service we provide for Barrow-in-Furness with the education we offer.

Furness Education Trust catered for 140 people at our Summer 2021 basketball camp. The food provided was excellent, the staff were friendly and efficient with no long queues despite the large numbers and the facilities at Furness Academy restaurant are excellent, arguably the best in town.
